Our Roots at Bullpen Barbershop
I’m proud to be a 4th generation barber, carrying on a tradition that started long before me. My shop is named in honor of my grandfather and grandmother, who ran a legendary barbershop for 66 years (as of 2026) — before that, my great grandfather Leo had his barbershop that my grandfather began his career at 15 — I’m committed to continuing that same level of quality, consistency, and community.
I’ve been licensed since 2007, and I take pride in delivering clean, classic, and modern cuts for every client who walks through my door.
When you come in, you’re not just getting a haircut — you’re getting an experience.
Enjoy fresh coffee, cold water, and other refreshments while you relax in a welcoming, laid-back environment.

The story behind the Tootsie Rolls
To my amazing clients,
If you’ve ever wondered why you’re handed a Tootsie Roll every time you sit in my chair, here’s the story behind that little piece of candy.
I’m a 4th-generation barber, and my grandfather was a barber for 66 years (as of 2026). Everywhere he went — his shop, restaurants, stores, even businesses he just stopped into — he handed out Tootsie Rolls. Clients, employees, strangers… nobody was safe. He became so well known for it that people called him “The Tootsie Man.”
The best part? I’m still using the same canister he kept them in.
After he was forced into retirement following a medical emergency, one of his biggest worries wasn’t himself — it was his clients. He named them. He wanted to make sure they were still getting their haircuts. When I told him I had let as many people know as possible, the very next thing he asked was:
“Are you giving my clients Tootsie Rolls?”
That’s when I went to his old station, grabbed the canister, took every last Tootsie Roll he had left, and started handing them out — just like he always did.
What started as candy turned into a promise: to carry on his tradition of care, consistency, and community. Today, I’m honored to keep that legacy alive in this chair.
Recently, my grandfather came to visit the shop and had his hair cut by my son — who is now stepping into the role of 5th-generation barber. And yes… we made sure he got his Tootsie Rolls. And my goodness did he have a laugh!
So when I hand you one, just know it’s more than candy. It’s tradition. It’s family. And it’s a thank-you for being part of the story.
